Idea Academy

IDEA Academy is an explainer video that I co-directed from the beginning till the grand finale. We cooked up the concept, mapped out those tricky temple traps, figured out the style, and brought it all to life with animations that hit like a hurricane! I also had a blast leading the charge on the 3D elements, giving this video that extra punch.

Right out of the gate, we knew we wanted to cook up a motion graphics video with a spicy mixed technique. So, we rolled up our sleeves and decided to whip up some 3D magic. After that, it was compositing time to make sure these elements jived perfectly with the 2D animations. And ta-da, the third dimension was served on a silver platter!

Learning the hard way

Another honorable mention goes to the style and sheer attitude of this video. Picture a digital artist school set inside an ancient temple brimming with traps. It’s a danger zone where everything is lethal, and the professors holler and hustle, but trust me, it’s all for your own good! We invested oodles of time into crafting the video script and tinkering with every little detail.

Every proper story needs its heroes. Meet Ruby, Willy, Franco, and Pochito (with his yellow, fashion, Balenciaga-style poncho) – the squad behind this wild adventure inspired by cartoons and all those movie stereotypes that fueled my childhood dreams of crafting an escapade like this.

IDEA Academy was a blast. It was like mixing up Indiana Jones, Scooby Doo, and a heap of Easter eggs, all seasoned with our signature motion graphics style to bring the temple and all its characters to life.
